So yesterday, monotoneminor made a GIF of my outfit photos, and this made me really excited. I’m not sure why exactly I’m so excited about it, but I’ve never been a GIF before and it feels almost like an internet rite of passage.

And then today, the 2012 ‘Best Of’ readers’ poll results were released in one of our local papers, and I was voted the best dressed woman in Wellington! I am totally shocked and surprised by it, but obviously feel really flattered that people thought of me and took the time to vote for me. I mean, I love my clothes but I would never presume to be the best dressed in anything, so it is really lovely to find out that people feel that way. 

It does make me think about how, if you had told me 4 years ago that I would be dressing the way I do, so visibly and at the size I am now, with a blog on which I post photos of myself, feeling the way I do about myself as a result (or maybe the way I feel about myself is the cause of the other things? It’s a bit chicken or egg), and that readers of a newspaper would vote me the best dressed of anything, I never would have believed you. This is all a bit crazy to me. But definitely awesome; I am so grateful for the changes in my life and perspective, and wouldn’t change a thing. :)
