I Like Pretty Clothes

And they like me too, I'm sure of it

43 notes

I cannot believe I am doing this, but I think I mentioned a while ago that I would try to work up the nerve to post a picture of me in a bathing suit, so here it is … AGH! It was such a nice day today that we had to go to the beach after work, so I thought, what the hell, I’ll take a photo. This is the Bettie Retro One Piece Swimsuit in Cherry Print from Pinup Girl Clothing. I also have it in the Black and White Polka Dot, and I may post a pic of that one some day too, but we’ll see if my fragile ego can handle more than one bathing suit photo on the internet!
Just as an aside recommendation: I, like many fat women, experience a phenomena known as chub rub - in which your thighs rub together in a painful way when you walk (when wearing skirts/dresses). I usually wear a pair of bicycle shorts under skirts and dresses in order to counter this, but I’ve often wanted a better alternative. And now I’ve found one: Body Glide, an anti-chafing stick used by athletes. It is kind of expensive - $29 NZD - but so very, very worth it. It looks like a deodorant stick, and you just apply it to the troublesome area. It kind of creates a protective coating that lasts all day - no pain at all! It also doesn’t come off on your clothes and is waterproof. I really can’t recommend it enough - I walk a lot and this makes it oh so much more enjoyable. Just thought I’d share!
