Here is MY B-Movie dress by Hell Bunny. I freaking love it!! This is awesomeness in dress form. End of story.
Oh, I wore two petticoats today - the dress is quite thick and one wasn’t cutting it. It also came in handy to have the extra layers when it was so freaking cold today.

I finally wore my Deadly Dames Courtesan Swing! Love it, so glad I got the Victorian Rose print. And I felt fantastic in it! (It didn’t hurt that at Dr Sketchy, I won the best dressed competition, the prize for which included chocolate, earrings and lipstick! Yuss!) ;)

I don’t often wear all black - at least not since I was a melancholy teenager with goth tendencies - so today felt like a bit of a treat. Weird that taking a break from colour feels like a treat!
Anyway, it wasn’t a total break, since I wore my new blue shoes and matched them with blue rose earrings. I am so happy to have blue shoes - I have to fight against my natural urge to be practical when buying footwear, and these seemed deliciously impractical, if only because I can’t wear them with everything. I am surprisingly conservative when it comes to shoes, I need to work on that.

Funny story: I ordered this dress in January from the lovely Stephanie - when it hadn’t showed up by March, Stephanie was a star and gave me a refund; we both figured it had got lost in the mail. And then what should show up yesterday, nearly 4 months after it was sent? That’s right! Of course I got in touch with Stephanie right away - we were both amazed that it turned up! And I am so happy it did, I freaking love it! It is a Bettie Page Clothing dress, and fits like a charm.
Also, I am wearing my new Besame lipstick in Carmine - I freaking love it too.
AND my new blue shoes arrived in the mail today. Happy Day!
dress - Bettie Page Clothing, belt - from a Pinup Girl Clothing dress (I liked it better with this dress than the one that came with), tights - Walmart, shoes - The Warehouse, necklace - Hilary Druxman, earrings - Calico Jacks (they have little cherries on them that match the dress!)
Pink and white and sweater guards.

Here is the skater skirt from City Chic, paired with my lime green Doris top from Pinup Girl Clothing. I’ve been wanting to get a new black, knee length skirt for a while (I have two others but I’m not liking them too much anymore) and I love the style of this one. In fact, I went back today to exchange the red pencil skirt for the teal skater dress - I’m really love the shapes and the comfiness of the fabric of the skater line from CC. I was really happy with the way today’s outfit turned out. :)

Oh, that is a tough question - there is so much to choose from! I’ll list a few of my favourites (click the photos to go through to the website), but if anyone wants to chime in with theirs, please do!
My favourite, the Grace Dress:
The lovely Ava (this comes in other colours):
The Evelyn (there are different prints/colours, I’ve just included two of them):
The fabulous Birdie (again, it comes in various colours, prints and sleeve lengths - I’ve included two here):
And finally, the Heidi - the dress every girl should have. This also comes in a variety of prints and colourways:
As you can see, my personal preference leans towards swing style dresses and that’s what I’ve listed here. If you prefer the wiggle style, there are many great options on the site. Hope this has helped somewhat! :)
I just got my sweater guard and I am so in love with it! I plan to wear cardigans even more than usual now, just so I can wear it!
Oh, and the last photo is me responding to Sam’s lewd comments about taking a photo of my boobs. :)

Please ignore the dead roses in the corner, I haven’t gotten around to throwing them out yet …

I wore this to watch burlesque tonight. I wasn’t sure about the dress - I feel it kind of squishes the girls and isn’t super comfortable. I bought it off Trademe (which is sort of the New Zealand version of eBay) but it is from City Chic. I was so unsure of it that I was thinking on the way to the club that I would probably turn around and resell it on Trademe tomorrow. However, then I was nominated for Audience Best Dressed at the burlesque and came in second, so now I think I might have to keep it. :) (I had to go on stage and everything, it was kind of mortifying. But also pretty cool.)
