Our beloved Heidi dress is here in a new limited edition Spanish Fan print.

The Heidi, on the other hand, is a win for me. The red Spanish Fan print will be my 7th one!
The Ava dress that we have made for the last 4 years is now in a glamorous vintage rose print.
I know you couldn’t think this dress could get any better…. well it did. Slide into this elegant number in our New Items section now at www.pinupgirlclothing.com ♥ Micheline #avadress #roseprint #spanishcollection #roses #pinupcouture #pugnewitems #pinupgirlclothing
So tempted to get this but the Ava just doesn’t work on me. But isn’t it pretty in the rose print?
Another skirt form Pinup Girl Clothing that I was waiting for for ages - the Matador Panel Skirt. And I freaking LOVE it!! It has an adjustable waist - the front and back of the waist band aren’t attached. The back has a sort of belt attached that buttons around the front and the front has long ties that tie around the back. This means that it can fit a larger range of sizes than most PUG skirts - I am at the top of the range listed on the size chart, but it could easily fit someone who is a few inches bigger. Also, pockets, lovely heavy fabric, and a fabulous print. Unfortunately, it has already sold out in 2X. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for the restock, it is well worth it.

I’m not a huge fan of this photo/outfit - white was a bad choice I think. But anyway, here’s the Venice Jenny skirt from Pinup Girl Clothing. It is quite tight in the waist and didn’t seem to give much. I was a bit uncomfortable all day, partly because of the waist but also I just didn’t feel very good in this outfit for some reason. I’m hoping it will be better when I wear it with a different shirt. I waited for this skirt for so long it’s kind of shitty to not feel awesome in it! Oh well, off days happen!

We went to the Burlesque Masquerade Ball last night - such a great show with great performers and great friends and some boogying afterward. I really enjoyed the range of performances and some of them were absolutely genius!
But there was one act that I’ve seen at least 7 times now and it just fucks me off - it feels like the performer has no regard for her audience when she does the same act over and over and over. I know she is a talented person and can do better than that. Everyone else varies their performances from show to show and if they repeat an act, they only do it a couple of times. Producers need to start putting their feet down - if they book her for a show, insist that she do something different. Just my little rant for the day.
This is the Lilith top from Pinup Girl Clothing. I love it! It is so well made and tailored, it really is special. It will look fab with all of my pencil skirts, so you’ll probably see a lot of it on here!

I wore this outfit this afternoon to participate in a Stop Rape Now march in response to those Roast Buster shit balls that have been in the news so much lately. It was a really emotional experience, which I really wasn’t expecting. But being a part of a large group of people, many - if not most - of whom have been directly effected by sexual violence in their lives, all working together to try to effect change and stop injustice, well, it was a humbling and emotional experience.

I forgot to take an outfit photo before I left for work this morning, and since it was the first time I had worn this top with this skirt and they go so fabulously together, I really needed a photo of it. So here, you get a terrible iPhone selfie in my work’s bathroom. But as an added bonus, you also get a terrible iPhone selfie of me trying on my new Lady Leona faux leopard fur swing coat from Collectif, which arrived today.

Things I am waiting to arrive …
Darling Dames Kinky Box Skirt from Pinup Girl Clothing. This was my birthday present from Sam (though I picked it out and bought it!) but I couldn’t wear it until today because of Frocktober.
Two things to say first off. 1. I am a bone head and put the zipper at the back for this photo, and only realised after I got to work that it should be on the side, so if it looks a little wonky that is partly why. 2. Today is the first time I’ve actually worn it, and on reflection it might be a little too high waisted for short waisted me. Not that it wasn’t comfortable or anything - there is room in the waist for me so it was super comfortable. But the waist band kind of scrunches up against the underside of my boobs, and bunches when I sit. Not a huge deal, not going to make me not wear it, just wanted to mention it. Otherwise, I love it! The colour and print are to die for. I wore a petticoat under it but you certainly don’t have to. I called this a mullet outfit: business on top, party on the bottom. LOL (yes, I am a dork).

Frocktober the Thirty-First, Halloween Edition
Today is the last day of Frocktober, and I saved this B Horror Movie Hell Bunny dress for the occasion. I’ve raised over $700 for the New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation this month - thank you to everyone who donated.
